Ms. Yang was born in 1976 and recently celebrated her birthday. Her birthday wish this year, like every year, was to have her own baby as soon as possible. Unfortunately, her wish remained unfulfilled in previous years. She had been through various treatments for infertility, but it was only this year that she opted for the IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) technology in the United States.
Ms. Yang married late in life and only met her ideal partner at the age of 38. Her husband, a divorced man with a daughter from a previous marriage, initially didn’t prioritize having more children after marrying Ms. Yang. However, as time passed, Ms. Yang’s desire to have her own child became increasingly urgent. After discussing with her husband, they decided to conceive a child immediately. Yet, at the age of 40, natural conception every month ended in failure.
Ms. Yang consulted various major hospitals in China. The diagnostic results from different hospitals varied: some stated that her ovarian function had decreased, with poor egg quality, some mentioned irregular endocrine values that needed adjustment, while others simply attributed her inability to conceive to her advanced age. After multiple treatments and consultations, Ms. Yang was somewhat lost—uncertain about her specific condition preventing pregnancy and whether there was a direct solution to her problem.
Upon a friend’s recommendation, Ms. Yang chose Dr. WOOD, an expert in IVF from the United States. Upon discovering that her treatments in China had led to a decrease in the number of retrievable eggs, Dr. WOOD helped her with physical adjustments. When her body was in good condition, she underwent an ovulation stimulation cycle. Ultimately, she retrieved 8 eggs, resulting in 5 embryos, with a boy and a girl embryo passing the PGS/PGD genetic testing. Overjoyed, Ms. Yang requested Dr. WOOD to implant these hard-earned embryos into her uterus. She’s now confirmed to be successfully pregnant and is planning her return to her home country with these twins. She believes that before her next birthday, these healthy babies will be born, making her life complete and happy.
